Institutional Factors

In this lesson we will consider instituitional factors that affect development. There are many institutions we can consider such as the United Nations (UN), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Trade Organisation amongst others.

We are going to investigate a number of sources and, by the end of the lesson, you should have created a mind-map (either on paper or using mind mapping software such as this) that maps out some of the ways in which instituitions such as these can affect development for better and for worse.

First, let's make sure we can demonstrate a basic and accurate understanding of what these institutions actually are.
