Inequality and Development - The Role of Politics in Global Financial Flows

The curriculum for Global Politics says we should consider the role of politics in promoting and responding to inequality in development. One of the examples given is regulation of global financial flows which is particularly topical given the recent news about the Panama Papers and offshore tax havens.
For this activity you are going to take on the roles of a journalist and produce either a newspaper front page story or a brief television news report. You are going to investigate offshore tax havens - what are they? How do they work? Who benefits? Who loses out? How do states regulate these flows of money across and outside of their borders?
